Here we go - now starting at 8.15pm tonight on @Channel4! #GBBO

Around the web…

  • Are you watching the new season of The Great British Bake-Off? You might recognize a familiar face: comedian/actor/alopecian Matt Lucas!

  • Meet Vanessa Richardson, a mother in Georgia who held an alopecia awareness parade for her son! The tradition of celebrating her son’s alopecia began last year at church, but they switched it to a socially distant parade this year because of COVID.

  • "Mr. Speaker, I am now bald. But I am in good health, and I am in incredible company." -Rep. Ayanna Pressley

  • This one’s a little bit of a personal shout-out, but Culturas interviewed me for an article about Alopecia Awareness Month that was focused on “celebrating your uniqueness”!

Alopecia &… Spotlight: @lost_locks_

So something happened to me today .. I got dressed, looked in the mirror and thought “GIRL!!! You and that bald head look SO cute today!!” .. I’ve never hated my head, but i dont think I’ve genuinely looked in the mirror and been so pleasantly surprised by the reflection .. PROGRESS!!! 💪🏾💪🏾❤️
